Get Wrapped Up for the Holiday Season with Chloe Angus

Wednesday, November 3, 2010 3:30:24 PM America/Denver

Dear Filosophistas,

Last year something horrible happened to me. My holiday shopping list was growing instead of shrinking. What’s worse, a certain date was looming and I still had no idea what to get most of the ladies on my list.

But not this year, Filosophistas. This year, I’m ready and I won’t have to resort to something horrid like shampoo. (My most un-Filosophista moment.)

This year I plan on attending Canadian designing darling Chloe Angus’ Trunk Show and Designer Showcase at My Filosophy. The Vancouver designer’s Trunk Show is Friday, November 5, 2010 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at My Filosophy’s Crestwood location. The next day, I’m hopping over to My Filosophy’s Accessory Kiosk at Southgate Centre for Chloe Angus’ Designer Showcase from 10:00am to 6:00pm on Saturday, November 6, 2010.

I plan on meeting Chloe Angus and watching her demonstrate how to wear her oh-so-chic wrap (which, by the way, can be worn over 20 different ways!).So there you go, Filosophistas. In one fell swoop, I’ll have picked up wraps for:

  • My Mother
  • My Sister
  • My Sister-in-Law
  • My Mother-in-Law
  • My two best friends
  • And my Brother’s Girlfriend
  • And… myself. (I really need the new fall colour in cobalt. No, lime. No, both!).

Well obviously I still have a few kinks in my holiday shopping list to work out. But, with all the gorgeous choices in colour and fabrics (bamboo cotton and wool) these are decisions I like to make.

Until next time Filosophistas,

XOXO

Baby & Me: Baby Not Included

Thursday, October 14, 2010 6:36:36 PM America/Denver

My dear Filosophistas,

There are no qualms about it, I love to shop. But for me, it’s so much more than that. I am not one of those women who simply settles for so-called ‘retail therapy.’ No, I love the hunt. I adore the meticulous search of finding exactly what I’m looking for. I love trying on the gorgeous item and finding it was practically made for me. Then, the trip conquered, there’s nothing better than having it wrapped up in pretty paper and sent home with me. Ahh… shopping.

But Filosophistas, I have something to admit. Around this time of year, I begin to panic. You see, my hunt & gather abilities begin to pitter out horribly around Christmas. Here is my confession: I can’t shop for others. I get all in a tizzy of:

“What if it doesn’t fit?”
“What if they think it’s ugly?”
“What if they never wear it?”
“What if they think I have no taste?!”

So my dears, I was so relieved when I found out about My Filosophy’s Baby & Me event. Not only is it free, but if you RSVP before the date, you get a fantastic gift. So, Filosophistas, RSVP by either calling either My Filosophy store or email at rsvp@myfilosophy.com

Then, show up on Wednesday October 20th from 4pm to 8pm at My Filosophy’s Crestwood location and Princess & the Pea in Crestwood Mall. There, you’ll get shopping help for everyone on your list from fashion experts at both My Filosophy and Princess & The Pea. Enjoy a stress-free shopping experience and enjoy appetizers provided by d’Lish Urban Kitchen & Wine Bar. What could be better you ask? If you spend at both stores, Filsophistas, you get an amazing swag bag.

Only an un-Filosophista would dare not attend this event. Because ladies and gentlemen, if you do attend the Baby & Me event, something fabulous happens… you can go back to shopping for yourself, stress free!

Until next time,

XOXO
